The Royal Navy Women’s team announcement has not yet been finalised but I am sure that the two Carolines should make the team and when they play against the Army qualify for their Navy Cap.
Caroline Penrose has, since her debut, in 2010 become a key member of the Navy pack where her strong ball carrying skills are used to great effect.
She also does he fair share of tackling whilst doesn’t shirk of the tight skills required of her as one of the Navy’s two lock forwards. Her award in 2011 as the Navy’s most improved player was well deserved and she has carried on the progress ever since. If she starts she will be Navy Women’s 16th capped player.
She will (hopefully) be joined by Penryn club colleague Caroline Oakes who is now a regular on the wing for the Navy. Her last match, the 10-3 victory over the RAF at Halton was probably her best performance in the Navy jersey and with each game her added experience is being shown with improved performances.
