Corporal Paul Livingstone is the seventh most capped player in Navy Rugby history and won the Inter Services title in 1987, the year of his first cap. He was also part of a remarkable three triple ties at Inter Service level. It goes to show how small the margins of success in sport can be. A stalwart of Royal Marines rugby Paul’s infectious love of the sport always ensured that wherever he served rugby would be played. He served the Corps with distinction on many, many occasions as well as regularly being selected for the Combined Services.

Paul’s last game in Service colours was in order to raise funds for the South Atlantic Medal Association when as part of the Falklands Task Force Rugby XV they took on a Penguin’s select XV. The side included the current Navy scrum half, Dave Pascoe, providing a Navy scrum half link from 1987 through to the present day.
