Navy Referees Geoff Howells and Si Aldridge were at Aldershot this week at an International Sevens tournament with a difference.   The Army Sevens hosted Kenya, Wales and Irish Exiles as part of the international sides’ preparations for the Moscow World Cup.

By all accounts the day was a great success with the three international teams being able to work on specific aspects of their preparation in a comp-etitive environment.  A full report of the day is available on the Army Rugby Union’s website and the bottom line remains that not many referees get to officiate international competition.  Well done to both.
