Lost but Not Defeated – Eight Reasons to Feel Proud

Army deservedly won both the main match in front of over 72,000 fervent supporters at Twickenham and the two matches at Kneller Hall.  However four tries at Twickenham and two for the Women at Kneller Hall deserve to be acknowledged.  Images below.

Pam Williams scored to level the score at Kneller Hall
Helen Ing scored the final try of the match, richly deserved by a very hard working RN Women’s team
Roger Sherratt Trophy to Navy captain Charlie Fredrickson – an excellent ambassador for the Women’s game and tireless on the rugby pitch.
Two new caps. Caroline Penrose was cap number 16 for the RN Women. Caroline Oakes taken to hospital but subsequently discharged. Speedy recovery.
Dale Sleeman grabs the first at Twickenham
Gaz Evans reaches over to get the second. Jo and WIlliam will be proud.
Tuna Marlin put Dale over for his second and the Navy’s third.
Jack Foster finished the scoring for the Navy with their fourth try. Rich reward for a player who personifies the attitude that is growing strongly in this young side.

Enjoyed both aspects. Could do with warmer weather on the South coast though! Geraint
