Seahawk Swooping for More Trophies

Who can stop Seahawk from retaining their sevens crown at the Navy Rugby Sevens on Wednesday?

VENUE Change – Navy Rugby Sevens are now at Castle Cary RFC

Sevens, XV-a-side, Command – Seahawk have been the dominant force in Navy Rugby over the last couple of seasons and they will be looking to defend their sevens title at the Navy Sevens which is held this Wednesday at Ivel Barbarians Ground Yeovil.  A great day of sevens, free entry.

Seahawk leave Sultan in their slip stream on the way to last years title.

Last season’s tournament was an excellent day’s rugby with a great mix of ships and units competing.  Some good hard rugby and plenty of banter was the hallmark of the day.

Catch me if you can. Navy Prop Kye Beasley is easily rounded!
Stop me if you dare! Try line here I come.
If you are going to wear that kit then you need to be robust in the tackle!

Last season also identified a number of players that went on to make a mark in representative rugby with the Sharks, U23s and Senior XV.  Sam Cuff the Sharks Head Coach will be at the  sevens.  Only last week Kyle Wood and Jay Samuel both performed well for the Sharks having come to prominence at last season’s sevens.

Jay Samuel at last season’s sevens. Jay went on to have a good U23 season and is in the Sharks squad this summer.

John, Just heard from the RNRU that the 7s are at Castle Cary RFC and not Ivel. Geraint
