Sharks Circling in Rugby Rocks Pool

Ian Cooper will again lead the Navy Sharks in the London leg of Rugby Rocks at Richmond FC on Saturday, 1 June 2013.

Navy Sharks will need to beat off the attention of Shark 7s as well as Soy Galacticos at the Rugby Rocks Sevens this Saturday.  The fourth team in their group is Saxons and they will look to avenge the 10-5 defeat from Manchester.

Coopz will be leading a strong squad for this the second leg of the Navy sevens season.  Joining him at Richmond will be a good mix of experience and emerging talent.

Nathan Huntley will add leadership to the team and continue his duel at fly half with U23 pivot Josh Jones.
Greg Welling will bring some fire power out wide with fellow senior squad member Kyle Wood also looking to build on his growing reputation.
John Barnett’s successful season with the U23s and CS U23s has been rewarded with a Sharks selection where he will bring a strong physical presence at the breakdown.
Jay Samuel is another U23 whose form is being rewarded with selection in the Shark’s colours.

Tristan Trehan, Jon Humphrey, Loz Blackburn, Jack Tindle and Bobby Conroy Smith complete the playing squad.  Though Tom Davies has been ruled out through injury he will be part of the Sam Cuff’s support team and will no doubt add great value from the sideline.  Amy will once again be the Sharks hard working physio trying to keep the players in one piece during a gruelling day.

Elsewhere at Rugby Rocks the Army are in action in the Elite men as they look to back up last years unbeaten season.
