The Bugler of Bolingey Barbarians at Army Navy Match

Navy Rugby would not be the same without it’s Kernow influence.  The strength of Seahawk over the recent seasons as only highlighted the strong Cornish influence in the Navy Team.  Indeed current Chairman Chris Alcock is a former skipper of Cornwall’s County side.  So in tribute to the good people of Trelawney’s Army I thought I would share the Bugler of Bolingey Barbarians.  Its whats makes Army Navy so special.

He was still on very good form in the West carpark after the game.

Apparently he is very good friends with Dave Pascoe’s dad. One of many who added colour to a great day. Geraint

Andy Stephens is one of our retired players and a great ambassador for his own club St Austell as well as the Bolingey Barbarians. The Barbarians play 5 or 6 games a year at veteran level and raise money for children’s charities in Cornwall. We have just had or 20th anniversary and in these 20 years have raised over £70.000 for the less fortunate children in Cornwall.

Roger, thanks for the additional info and it is good that there are still great characters in the game. No doubt he will be tuning the bugle ready for the County Championship Final!? Geraint
